I apologize to those of you who were recently deleted from the blog ring queue. It seems as though some of you did not receive the previous emails I had sent through RingSurf. Please understand that this may be due to spam filters or a problem with RingSurf. When I send you emails it is directly from RingSurf, and when I get a confirmation from RingSurf that it has been sent it's only natural for me to assume that it has indeed been sent.

Unfortunately I am just one person who is maintaining this ring in my spare time and I do not have the time to personally assess what the errors are on each blog. It will require some initiative on your part to make the ring work with your blog.

Please realize that while it may take a few minutes for you to join the ring (or reapply), it takes much more time than that for me to deal with the results of your incorrect application; so PLEASE follow these steps:

Please take the time to read the rules in the right hand box on the RingSurf application page when you apply for the ring. I know it's small and you may want to ignore it, but don't. I've taken the time to outline the steps that will ensure a successful application, so please take the time to read it then rather than emailing me after the fact with questions that I've already answered in those rules and here on the home blog.
Please read all the previous posts on this blog. There aren't that many so it won't take very long.
Please include a LINK to your blog in any emails you send me asking for help with problems specific to your blog.
Please understand that I am not a blog tutor. I am willing to help you sort out code issues within my time/skill means, however there are many excellent tutorials on line if you take a few minutes to do a search, OR you could ask another fellow blogger for their help. Take a trip through the ring and find another member who is using the same blog template as you. They will be able to offer much more help than I can since they have the template specific knowledge that you may require.

Thank you! :)

You are doing a great job!
I am hoping my code is okay now. Will we be sent an email once the code is approved?
Thank you for all the work you do! You are cherished and appreciated even though we sometimes forget to tell you.

blumoon - yes, i do believe that ringsurf send an automatic notification. welcome to the ring as of this morning :)
I got the email with the Ring and Site ID but the login page won't accept them. What exactly are we supposed to use for user name and password?
you use whatever username and password you chose when you signed up with ringsurf. it should have been emailed to you.
Hi, this is a great resource. Now that there are so many members, would you condsider having the main link in the ringsurf code we put on our blogs, go to to this ringsurf group's hub rather than to the blog about how to join? It would be great to have the option to see the entire membership base rather than have to surf blog by blog through almost 200 blogs. I'd rather see the list of members with their bios, than to only be able to hit previous, next, or to see the blog on how to join the ring.
Or, at least have a prominent link to the ringsurf group page somewhere on this blog? No offence, it's just very hard to navigate. Thanks!
Unfortunately that is not possible for 2 reasons:

#1 - it would require every single ring member to change their existing code

#2 - for the reasons described in my last post on this blog i *REALLY* want to make sure that people read the information here in order to avoid an unneccesary volume of emails, questions, etc.

if you would like to see the list of ring members without surfing all the way through the ring please see my post below about viewing the ring stats. all it takes is a few clicks on the ringsurf page and all the info you seek is available. that being said, i will take your suggestion about putting a link to the stats page in the sidebar here on this blog. :)
Thank you ~ (that link doesn't work, I think you left out the h in http)

Can it possibly be worded clearer like "Member Directory"
rather than ring stats and member list? Or "Browse the Member Directory"

My comments and suggestions are with helpful intent - for blog readers and potential customers, to be able to easily browse the directory - where everyone's lovely shop/blog descriptions are. Scanning a page for that, it's easy to miss a Member Directory that is labeled as ring stats and member list.

:) with love. I swear.
Hi! I don't mean to bother you--I am new here--but when I try to go around the ring I get stuck both ways by sites that don't seem to have the link for this ring. On one side is
I am not trying to tattle or anything--it is just that I would like to check out all the sites! Do you have a place where we should report this sort of problem? I can give you the other site too, if that helps you: never mind it looks like they fixed it that way. Thanks!
I don't mean to be a constipator, as you are doing a good job, but the code should probably be altered to keep the second line "Join | Previous | Next" centered.
hey. in the code, it says "INSERT IMAGE HERE". are we supposed to insert manually?

another qn: the 250 x 100 image that is to be uploaded, where does it go? please advise, thanks! :D
